Grower Training to accept FMNP

Calling all growers and honey producers!

Do you know about the Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP)?

South Whidbey Tilth Farmers Market has participated for many years, but it is you that must register to sell and get the benefits of this program.

The market also is registered to accept SNAP EBT cards. This is a separate program and vendors do not have to register. (Customers run their cards at the welcome table and we distribute tokens and Market Match currency to them to spend with you. — see here.)

Qualifying Senior Citizens get FMNP debit cards worth $80 to buy honey and produce from June 1 to October 31.

Families qualifying for WIC (Women, Infants and Children) benefits also get a card with slightly different value and time frame.

PLUS South Whidbey Tilth has its own program to match these benefits thanks to generous community members.

You could benefit by registering and you must take the training offered. Please register to attend either April 29 or May 14. Even if you can’t attend at that time, you can get the recording.
