Whidbey Island Farmers' Forum

  • Organic Farm School 6390 Maxwelton Road Clinton, WA, 98236 United States (map)

RSVP's required

We are so excited to be working with Whidbey Island Grown to host this event, highlighting the opportunities and challenges facing Island County farmers!

We’re looking for anyone who’d like to join the day-long conversation…farmers, gardeners, those who want to better understand our food system and/or support local farmers. All we need is your RSVP :) You can send it via email HERE.

We’d also like to welcome participants and speakers with robust OFS hospitality! Would you like to help us make pizzas for the noon break and/or the 5:00 Happy Hour? We’d love to have a team of happy folks to help us make and bake goodies in the wood fired oven.

Speakers include:

  • Kevin Dunham, Dunham Farm - small farm livestock/meat/human nutrition

  • Stephen George Bramwell, Thurston Co. WSU Extension - pasture health and grazing

  • Patricia Lara Maldenado - floriculture

  • Emily Trabolsi - /WA Farmland Trust - land access

  • Doug Collins, WSU Puyallup Research Station - cover crops and reduced tillage/regenerative ag

  • Laura Valli, Bread Lab - small farm grains

  • Tom Thornton, Madronamii Consulting, – fruit and perennials

  • Allison Rinard, WICD - local support resources for farmers
