This screening of EVER GREEN, a short documentary about Whidbey Environmental Action Network, and the legacy of environmental activism on Whidbey, is running in complement to WICA’s run of Thoreau at Home. 

Join environmental philosopher Dr. Bidisha Mallik of UW Tacoma, documentary filmmakers Mark Dworkin and Melissa Young, WEAN founders Steve Erickson and Marianne Edain, WEAN executive director Marnie Jackson, and local advocates and activists for a discussion of environmental concerns on Whidbey and beyond. This community conversation will take us into the near future, revealing immediate opportunities for collective action on pressing local environmental challenges.
